Compare and Contrast

Today we read, The Three Bears  by Paul Galdone and The Three Snow Bears  by Jan Brett. I created a compare and contrast t-chart ( I will post hopefully tomorrow.) We discussed each story before, during, and after reading. Students used different pitches to indicate whether they were speaking for Papa Bear, Mama Bear, and Baby Bear as we retold each story. We completed the chart for The Three Bears together. Students completed the chart for The Three Snow Bears  on their own. For some it was a challenge, but for others it was a good start for comparing and contrasting stories and/or things.
