It's Monday--Manic and Made It--FREEBIE Time

WHEW! What a weekend!
There have been record breaking temperatures here in Georgia. (106 degrees on Saturday and 104 on Sunday. However, my car thermometer and cell phone thermometer showed 110 degrees on Saturday and 107 on Sunday. Either way--it is hot--VERY HOT! To top it all off both air conditioning units have decided to "kick the can". Yes, I have been on the phone with our home-warranty compaany and the air-condtioning company last night and already this morning. I do not have a service time yet because I have only gotten a recording.UGGGH! I will keep calling until I get a "live" person.)
Now onto the blog post for

I am sharing a recipe I have fallen in love with from Pinterest. It is soooooo easy!

What can one make using these ingredients?

The answer is

 And

Which is Perfect Guacamole--YUMMO!
And it is so simple to make--
Ingredients:
2-4 ripe avocados (
2-3 cloves of garlic, minced
1 TBSP lime juice
1 small onion , diced (red or yellow)
1 serrano pepper, diced and seeded
salt (I use coarse sea salt.)
black pepper
2 tomatoes, diced
Steps:
1. Cut, scoop out the avocado with a spoon (keep one pit-This is the secret so that the guacamole does not turn brown), and smash with a fork.
2. Combine garlic, lime juice, onion, serrano pepper, salt and black pepper. Stir.
3. Top with tomatoes before serving.
So easy, so simple. So good. (BTW-I do not measure, I just add lime juice so if you need or want a little mor lime flavor, you can add more.)
Serve with tortilla chips.

I also made this--Southwest Bean Salad.

  6. Hi Delena,
I saw that you had visited by blog this morning, so I thought I'd hop on over. I think your reading strategy posters look great. I too am a Georgia teacher, just south of Macon.
I said the same thing about my car themometer reporting 110 on Sat. even though the news said a high of 106. We survived the storms last night and it really cooled things off at least for a much cooler evening. I think your blog looks great!
